*Don’t Despair*

A friend told me he had not been doing any Ibadah since Ramadhan started, he deliberates if he can ever meet up. Can he gain the Ridhwan of Allah. That is a self-reproaching soul.

I told him you still have time, and the time starts now. I have been slow in the reading of Qur’an too lately this month because of exams, yet we have to squeeze it, this is an afterlife business. But you don’t need to curse yourself. Just start from where you are and renew your intention.

Have you also not been close to Allah lately, before Ramadhan and now in Ramadhan, your chance has come. Not a scholar can close the door of Allah, He always welcome His servants with open arms.

He wants us to repent, in fact, if you don’t sin, you are not human. I am not encouraging sins, I am only saying you should move closer to Allah and not lose hope in His forgiveness and mercy.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

Say: “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

-Sura Az-Zumar, Ayah 53

Amazing, the verse ends with a message; He is Oft-Forgiving, i.e He is ever forgiving, then after He forgives your sins, He will be merciful to you. Allah Akbar.

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sister, don’t despair and never lose hope because Allah is always there with you, closer to you than your jugular vein. You need only one thing.  Call upon Him.

Say Ya Allah! I believe in you, forgive my sins. I know you are never far away from me, all my trust is in You and You alone, to You I raise my hand. Ya Allah! Guide my steps, make sins disgusting to me and make my heart enjoy the good. O Lord of the world.
